What is the MINTFIT chemistry test?<\/strong>
\nThe MINTFIT chemistry test includes fundamental questions in the skill areas of structure of matter, states of matter, chemical reactions, organic molecules, biomolecules, and polymers. The questions will test your knowledge, handling of chemical formulas and structures, and math skills. The subject-specific content is based on topics from the intermediate and advanced levels. Some of the problems will give you an idea of the level typical at higher education institutions. The test takes approximately 45\u201360 minutes.<\/p>\n

Should I take the MINTFIT chemistry test?<\/strong>
\nThe Hamburg higher education institutions HCU, HAW, TUHH, UKE, and Universit\u00e4t Hamburg assume that the chemistry courses offered by many STEM degree programs will deal with solving problems like the ones in this test. This also applies to many other higher education institutions throughout Germany!

How does the test work?<\/strong>
\nYou can take the MINTFIT chemistry test anonymously or as a registered user. However, only registered users can access their results and recommendations at a later point in time. But don\u2019t worry, you can still register and create a profile during the test.
\nTo enter mathematical expressions, use the symbol key that is explained at the beginning of the test. You may also use the periodic table, a calculator, and a list of formulas. Although nobody can stop you from searching for information on the Internet, be honest with yourself, copying the solution will give a better test result, but it won\u2019t reflect your real level of knowledge. However, it is a good idea to look for tips that will help you solve a specific problem, and this will also prepare you for working through problems and content on your own.
\nAfter you complete a test, your results and the sample solutions will be displayed for each skill area.<\/p>\n

How do I fill in the gaps?<\/strong>
\nOn the \u201cMy MINTFIT\u201d page, you will find recommendations as to which skill areas and competencies in chemistry you should review and practice in order to be optimally prepared for a STEM degree program with chemistry courses\u2014we are currently preparing an online MINTFIT chemistry course for you to do this.
