What is the MINTFIT computer science test?<\/strong>
\nThe MINTFIT computer science test gives you an idea of the topics, problems, and types of tasks you might encounter in computer science courses that are part of a STEM degree program. The tasks in the skill areas of logic, programming, algorithms, and formal languages are set in such a way that you can solve them without having any previous knowledge of computer science, but instead just by using logical thinking and a little skill. If you enjoy the tasks or find the topics interesting, you are set for success in your studies.
\nYou can solve all of the problems by doing the calculations on paper or in your head.
\nIf you are planning to study a STEM subject, you should definitely take the MINTFIT math test. Math skills are extremely important in all of the STEM subjects, especially in the field of computer science.<\/p>\n

Should I take the MINTFIT computer science test?<\/strong>
\nAre you are interested in starting a STEM degree program but are unsure about what prior knowledge in computer science might be helpful? Take the test and find out what topics might be included in the computer science courses that are part of a STEM degree program.

How does the test work?<\/strong>
\nYou can take the MINTFIT computer science test anonymously or as a registered user. However, only registered users can access their results and recommendations at a later point in time. But don\u2019t worry, you can still register and create a profile during the test.
\nEach of the skill areas consists of a block of tasks\u2014something new is introduced in each task, which is why you can only see the first task at the beginning. Solve the task, click \u201cCheck,\u201d and then you will see both the correct solution and the next task. If you are having trouble with one skill area, you can easily switch to the next one using the navigation bar on the right.
\nAfter you complete a test, your results and the solutions will be displayed for each skill area. The test takes approximately 60 minutes.<\/p>\n

How can I continue to prepare?<\/strong>
\nOn the \u201cMy MINTFIT\u201d page, you will find recommendations as to which skill areas you should look at before you start your studies so that you are optimally prepared for your computer science courses\u2014we are currently preparing an online MINTFIT computer science course for you to do this. If you started the test anonymously but later decide that you want to have access to the recommendations, you must convert your profile to a registered profile no later than right after you complete the test.
